![]() Having made stroke a priority for a number of years, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Québec has presented its first Quebec Summit to Conquer Stroke, which brought together more than 100 health professionals. Thus, speakers that include some of the greatest stroke care experts in the country explained their theories and talked about their experience in the cerebrovascular field, both in Québec and elsewhere in Canada. The objectives of the first Summit were: 1. to bring together Québec stroke experts in the fields of clinical service, research, education and program development, and the administrators of the Regional Agencies; 2. to raise the awareness and to facilitate the implementation of the Provincial Program for Stroke victims; 3. to look at the successes here in Québec and elsewhere; 4. to engage the key stakeholders in the process.
It was a pleasure to notice the dedication and the passion of all the speakers, participants and organizers with a common goal: to develop a Quebec-wide vision taht will provide a series of rapid, high-quality services to people who suffer a stroke and those at risk.
