Walking for your health, that's makes sense!

Heart in Motion is an international initiative launched in 1996 in Ireland, and was named Sli Na Slainte, which means “Path to Health”. Since its beginning, the concept has captured the imagination of local authorities and members of the public not just in Ireland, but in many parts of Europe as well (Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Sweden). Then, it crossed the Atlantic and is now offered here, in Canada.

First of its kind in Québec, this program is characterized by distinct and colourful pedestrian signs. Located at a convenient one kilometre distance from the next, the signs allow you to estimate the distance walked and the progress you have made.

If there are 1001 ways to take good care of your heart, physical activity remains one of the best ways considering all the benefits it brings to your body. In fact, regular physical activity improves blood circulation while making your heart stronger and more efficient. With the actual definition of physical activity, we realize that an intense training is no more necessary to have some health benefits. Instead, simply adding it to your daily routine allows you to keep a good cardiovascular health. Therefore, there are no more excuses not to be active, just good reasons to take action!
